ILEETA.org

International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association was formed in 2002 to serve the needs of criminal justice trainers and educators throughout the world. ILEETA provides information, training resources, member discounts and networking. The benefits are numerous when you’re a member of ILEETA.  You will receive several free magazine subscriptions, the ILEETA Digest, ILEETA Use of Force Journal, ILEETA Review, ILEETA Chronicle, discounted training tuitions, yearly training conference, and others.  It is definitely worth your investment to join.

NLEARN.org

National Law Enforcement Academy Resource Network links all United States law enforcement training academies and provides a variety of resource services including a newsletter with valuable information for any police instructor.  The organization is federal funded and free of charge.


TED.com

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

The site is filled with videos for you to watch and pick up ideas as well as presentation skills.  If there is modern technology connected to presentations you will see it used by a TED presenter.

The International Association of Chiefs of Police is a great resource for you as a police instructor.  Their leadership and professionalism in the field of police training assures you that their resources are top notch.  Simply send an email requesting to use any of their materials and they will give you a courteous reply encouraging you to use their materials to train law enforcers wherever you are.

Police Chief Magazine is viewable online and is packed full of valuable information and wisdom.

Training magazine covers all the presentation issues that concern law enforcement trainers as well as their business communities.  While they serve the business community their magazine and newsletters are full of valuable information for you as a police instructor.  The information is available online at no cost.

FLETC.gov/legal

The Federal Law Enforcement training Center is your best resource for up to date legal resources.  The cadre at the FLETC is second to none when it comes to staying on top of developing case laws.  They have a monthly newsletter covering rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court and the Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal.  You can download their Legal Reference Book that will answer just about any question you can think of regarding Search & Seizure.
